Impact Sound Reduction:

dB

¹ System sites between joists minimising construction height.
² Based on 50 mm and 100 mm rigid wood fibre insulation, and excludes floor finish.
³ R-value of Jupiter Ideal system only, and Part L compliant with correct amount of additional insulation.

Area of Application:

  • Ground floors or floors located above unheated or uninsulated rooms such as garages and basements.
  • For upper floor installations refer instead to Construction ID: STR-BJ1U.

Additional Information:

  • When installing timber floors without tongue and groove edges, it is advised to install building paper or similar materials underneath the timber floor, because the possible shrinkage of timber will expose the aluminium diffuser plates beneath.
  • Glue and screw supporting ply to battens.
  • Aluminium diffuser plates should be flush with the top of the joists.
