¹ System sites between joists minimising construction height.
² Excludes floor finish.
³ Part L compliant for floors above heated rooms.

Area of Application:

  • Floors with rooms of equal temperature above and below, and a minimum R-value of 0.75 m² K / W.
  • This construction is suitable for use on intermediate floors, no further insulation is needed to meet the Part L requirements.
  • For ground floor installations refer to Construction ID: EPS-BJ1G.

Additional Information:

  • When installing timber floors without tongue and groove edges, it is advised to install building paper or similar materials underneath the timber floor, because the possible shrinkage of timber will expose the aluminium diffuser plates beneath.
  • Glue and screw supporting ply to battens.
  • Aluminium diffuser plates should be flush with the top of the joists.
