A sensitive and considered approach to extending a listed farmhouse, utilising our advanced, wet-trade-free floor construction techniques. This case study serves to demonstrate the ease with which our recycled foam glass buildup can be integrated with traditional breathable building fabric. The new floor construction provides an insulated, breathable floor and a fast-to-respond underfloor heating system without having introduced any moisture at all to the sensitive original building. Without the drying out times associated with screeding, the dry-installed alternative conferred considerable programme advantages to the project.
