In 2009 JUPITER were contracted for our first project at Brasenose College, the extensive renovation of the medieval dining hall. JUPITER were charged with levelling the floor, insulating it and then incorporating an underfloor heating system. The exisitng floor proved challenging to work with, comprising portions of both solid floors and suspended timber floors. The existing floor was prepared using our dry-installed floor levelling slate before our natural woodfibre Ideal ECO heating panels were installed, followed by the Screed Replacement Tile system to afford the floor the loadbearing capacity required by BS6399 for assembly areas with fixed seating. The raised dais was served with the same underfloor heating system, installed between the joists.
