Weston Library

#039

In 2010, JUPITER were approached by the architectural practice Wilkinson Eyre who were considering the use of the unique JUPITER underfloor heating system within the refurbishment of the New Bodleian Library in Oxford. The design team were keen to reduce the mass and height of any proposed underfloor heating system over the new floor slabs and so the Screed Replacement Tile system was specified in preference to traditional screed. JUPITER commissioned the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to conduct full scale deflection testing of the JUPITER system to assure the design team of the JUPITER system’s load capacity.
