BRE test the JUPITER system

18th July 2011

In April this year a full scale deflection test was undertaken at the Structures Lab at the BRE in Watford to establish the maximum level of deflection the JUPITER system can absorb before a finished floor fails.

The test was carried out with and without a floor finish. The JUPITER system and Screed Replacement Tile substrate managed to absorb a deflection of more than 50mm over 8m. Covered with a 600mm x 600mm x 20mm limestone the system absorbed over 30mm without failure.

These conclusive tests provide reassurance when installing stone and tile floors on suspended floors.

The full BRE report is available upon request.
